Doctor Archibald Zombie
In an effort to bring about a cure for death, Doctor Archibald Zombie was turned into his namesake by a terrible lab accident, leaving him changed into a brand new version of the undead. Such a horrific accident would have broken a lesser man, but not Doctor Zombie. He just dusted himself off and got back to work.
With his faithful assistant Marigold Murray at his side, Doctor Zombie continues his life just as before: performing experiments and fighting evil in the name of science and humanity. As a consultant for the Roulette City Hall and Police Department, Doctor Zombie is called in for cases that the DHI can’t handle or are too busy with some other catastrophe. He also works as a private consultant for anyone who needs his help.
Although he looks like a typical zombie, he is in fact quite different than his brain-munching cousins. He does not feed off the living, nor does he tend to rot away. He is stuck in a state of “Just Deceased”, never rotting away and never aging. In a strange way, this suits him just fine, as he now has more time to work on science.
Even with his new appearance, Doctor Zombie is still the best there is at what he does. He spends his time working on his many experiments until he is called to duty, then he leaps to save the day. A man of his incredible genius can’t be bothered by such a minor detail as being undead.
Marigold Murray
Marigold Murray was a bright and successful student at the State University located in Roulette City for several years. Although she enjoyed her studies, she secretly craved adventure and started to fight the supernatural crime in the city in her spare time. Eventually her path crossed that of Doctor Archibald Zombie and she jumped at the chance to serve at personal assistant.
Now, Marigold Murray is a loyal supporter of Doctor Zombie and his work and enjoys helping him continue his life’s work by performing experiments and fighting evil. Although just his assistant, she is also considered a consultant for the Roulette City Hall and Police Department and sometimes covers for Doctor Zombie when he is unavailable.
Being a bit of a science (and sci-fi) nerd, Marigold is somewhat shy and polite. Once she becomes comfortable with someone, she reveals her more loose and wild side. She also has a huge crush on Doctor Zombie, but he is pretty oblivious to it. On the flip side, Pete Redshirt of the Department of Horror Intervention has an equally huge crush on her, but she is unaware.
